Dear Hampton Alumni and NHAA Chapter Leaders,

We are proud to share an exciting milestone with you—Hampton University has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of the Top 20 colleges in the nation with the highest alumni giving participation!

This achievement highlights what we already know to be true: Hampton alumni show up, stand tall, and give back. With an alumni giving rate of 29%, we are far exceeding the national average of 7.7% and setting the bar for Historically Black Colleges and Universities and institutions across the country.

This recognition is a direct result of your generosity, your consistency, and your belief in “The Standard of Excellence.” Whether through Day of Giving, the #1868iGive2HU campaign, or ongoing chapter-led efforts, you’ve helped make this moment possible.

What This Means:

  • Hampton University is being recognized nationally for alumni loyalty and engagement.
  • Your gifts directly support scholarships, faculty, facilities, and student success.
  • Our collective action proves the strength of our Pirate Pride and the power of paying it forward.

As Co-Chair of Alumni Giving for the National Hampton Alumni Association, I want to extend my heartfelt THANK YOU to each and every one of you. Let’s celebrate this moment—and keep building on it!

Please share this news with your chapter members, on social media, and among fellow Hamptonians.
Together, let’s keep Hampton University rising.
