On April 30, 2025, Hampton University etched its name into the history books by winning the illustrious Honda Campus All-Star Challenge (HCASC) National Championship. This was Hampton’s first-ever national title win in the prestigious academic quiz competition, a significant milestone that highlights the school’s longstanding tradition of excellence and intellectual prowess. Competing fiercely against 48 other Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Hampton’s four-student team excelled with displays of vast knowledge across diverse categories, including science, literature, history, entertainment, and current events. The thrilling victory elevated Hampton University’s profile, showcasing the depth and breadth of its academic rigor and commitment to producing knowledge leaders.
Under the dedicated guidance of team coach Dr. Emily Carter, the students underwent intensive preparations with countless study sessions, research practices, and engaging mock competitions. Their extraordinary effort and dedication reached its zenith during the final pivotal round against rival Howard University. With composure under pressure and determination etched firmly on their faces, they clinched the championship with a thrilling last-second correct response, bringing an outpouring of jubilation from the Hampton community. University President Darrell K.
