Hampton University is once again advancing its mission of excellence and empowerment through a dynamic partnership with SNIPES, a renowned global leader in streetwear and youth culture. Announced in late October 2025, the SNIPES HBCU initiative deepens its multi-year commitment to Historically Black Colleges and Universities, rolling out a season of campus activations, generous scholarships, and high-impact cultural events at Hampton, alongside fellow trailblazers Norfolk State and Morehouse. Culture Creators led the on-campus engagement activations during Homecoming, bringing the partnership to life through dynamic, student-centered experiences that celebrated HBCU pride and culture.
For Hampton students, the fall activations deliver more than financial assistance—they open doors to creative expression, leadership development, and authentic dialogue about issues central to the HBCU experience. Events include interactive workshops linking fashion, music, and social activism, collaborative networking sessions, and new avenues for student-led initiatives. As SNIPES CEO Sven Voth explained, “We’re not just investing in events, but in the lives and futures of HBCU students. Our mission is to build lasting, authentic relationships rooted in community impact.”
Scholarship support from SNIPES directly benefits deserving Hampton students, ensuring academic continuity despite personal or financial obstacles. According to the Office of Alumni Affairs, “Support from companies like SNIPES helps us further uplift and empower our students. Alumni and friends can amplify these opportunities by backing critical resources such as NHAA’s Student Emergency Fund, which provides rapid aid exactly when students need it most.”
